Natural Reserve of Lake Sartirana

The Natural Reserve of Lake Sartirana covers an area of 23,6 hectares of which 9,8 of the lake water (3,50 m. maximum depth, 2,50 m. average depth and 196000 m³ average volume).

More similar to a pond, for its size and morphology, Lake Sartirana represents a characteristic element of the Brianza landscape, a typical example of intra-morainic lake since it was formed between two contiguous glacial drifts carried by the Quaternary age ice tongue. For being aside from the other Brianza lakes, and for its over hill position, it is barely visible and not widely known.
A footpath of 2 km runs along the whole lake perimeter.
